To ensure proper course selection, all SummerStart students must complete placement tests for mathematics and writing (Some VPA students do not need to complete the math placement test.  If you are admitted to a studio art program contact VPA directly  to inquire about your placement requirements).  The Writing and Math Placement Exams are to be taken online.

These exams are given under the honor system. Please note that these assessments are for placement purposes only. They will have no impact on your course grades. They should accurately reflect your skill level or you may be inappropriately placed, potentially resulting in poor class performance.
